VALENTINOenlisted some of its high-profile fans - including SelitaEbanks, Jodie Kidd andJo Wood - totake part in a charity road trip earlier this month, and we've gotsome pictures from the fundraising adventure to share. The wholesale jordans shoes project saw the group of women hopping into classiccars (all in Valentino red, naturally), and driving fromBarcelona to Rome - taking in the sites of Florence and Cannes enroute - to raise money for a selection of charities that benefitwomen in third world African countries.
The Italian label was one of a number of charity partners, includingLoewe, Bentley, Veuve Clicquot, Cavalli and JulianMacdonald. The initiative was founded by CEO Julie Brangstrup in2011.
"It's about women getting on the road together and raising moneyfor charity - this is the Cash & Rocket key catch phrase andsums up the reasons I decided to get involved," Valentino creativedirector Maria Grazia-Chiuri told us. "As a woman, a mother and acareer woman, I understand the importance of solidarity amongstwomen. I know first-hand how women at home and in the workplacehave to give that extra mile to get where they are going. wholesale jordans shoes combines a group of women from all differentindustries, cultures and age groups but yet we all have a commongoal to help raise money for charity and to support each otherthroughout the tour."
Charities supported through the project include Shine on SierraLeone, OrphanAid Afrida and Sumbandila. Other personalities to takepart in the 2013 road trip alongside Grazia-Chiuri included herdaughter, Rachele Grazia-Chiuri, Patricia Arquette, CharlotteStockdale and Leah Wood. The trip ended with a celebratory charitygala in Rome.
